Fulani Herdsmen Alleged of Causing Mayhem in Jos, Set Houses on Fire

3 killed, 12 houses burnt in Wase

Just as people are heaving a sigh of relief at the peace that has returned to Plateau state, residents of Zamchang village were woken up by the smoke that engulfed the air at the early hours of yesterday and also reported that 3 people were killed in Gwiwan Kogi village all in Wase  LGA.

The villagers said that the hand writing on the wall were those of Fulani mercenaries.
Coordinator of Stephanus Foundation, a Jos based nongovernmental organisation, Mark Lipdo said the attackers invaded the two villages in the night and were shooting at random, forcing villagers to run for cover.
He disclosed that the Fulani herdsmen had razed over 12 houses before the villagers trooped out to form barricade at Bakinrijiya to repel them from further harm.
