Sister Stabs Only Brother to Death in Warri

What started as a quarrel over who should do what chore between two siblings ended tragically as a sister stabbed her only brother with a knife leading to his death eventually on Tuesday.
Omasan Ogbe, a 21-year-old girl from the family of Ogbe in Ugbuwangue, an Itsekiri community in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, allegedly stabbed to death her younger brother identified as Laju following a fight over daily domestic chores.

Omasan, who was described by a family source as a tomboy, was embittered that her younger brother floored her in a brawl following an argument over the washing of dishes.
Before the argument degenerated into a fierce fight, Omasan was said to have directed the younger brother to wash the dishes, but the boy reportedly refused claiming that he had fetched water into the drums in the house and was too tired to wash the dishes.

Baker Kills Naming Ceremony Guest with Poisoned La Casera Soft Drink

According to Tribune newspaper, authorities of the Osun State Police Command have apprehended a bakery worker for allegedly killing a guest of his boss with herbicide during a naming ceremony in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

Parading the 27-year-old suspect, identified as Taofeek Adeyemo before newsmen over the weekend, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Abubakar Marafa, said he would be arraigned in court after the conclusion of investigation into the dastardly act.

Nigerian Tribune authoritatively gathered that Taofeek, who was in charge of food and drinks during the social function, had allegedly poured the poisonous herbicide inside a plastic bottle of Lacasera, with a view to give it to a colleague he had planned to harm out of jealousy.
However, a guest, who was apparently under the influence of alcohol innocently took the drink and drank it, mistaking it for a bottle of Lacasera. He was said to have died shortly after he was rushed to hospital for medical help.

Five Persons Dies After Eating Dog Meat in Cross River

Five persons; a man, two of his children with two of their neighbours over the weekend were confirmed dead in the village of Nchonyi in Yala Local Government Area in Northern Cross River State after eating dog meat.

An indigene of the community, Uwem Onaro, said the dog fell ill after eating eggs of a native chicken laced with gamalin 20 insecticides.

The owner of the dog on noticing that the dog was about to die, quickly killed it and prepared a delicacy which was consumed by himself, members of his family and some neighbors.

RSUST Year 2 Engineering Student Shot and Killed by Armed Robbers

A year two student in the Department of Engineering at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) is now feared dead after being shot by armed youths at his apartment at Billie close beside the back gate of the institution.

The incidence took place this morning around 7am. Some students who reside in the compound explained to us that they also lost valuable items in the attack.

One of the students said; “We were inside the room this morning around 4am and me I was sleeping and they woke me up that thieves were outside. So I peeped through the window and I saw them and immediately took my laptop and hid it inside the room somewhere safe. So we came outside and charged the guys. They robed something that is sticky on their body and we tried our best. When they brought our guns, we ran into the room and started shouting, “bring that knife” so that they could be frightened and run away.

Goat Delivers Human-Like Baby in Ekiti (pix)

There was fear, confusion and amazement in the small town of Ogotu-Ekiti in Ekiti South West Local Government Area two days ago when balck goat gave birth to a kid that looked more like a human being.

The spokesman of the community, Sunday Ogunmeji, who spoke with News Agency of Nigeria correspondent on behalf of the Baale (community head), Ganiyu Adetoun, said a pastor, Mr Daniel Odedele, helped to deliver the goat of the baby.
“After watching the goat labour for several hours, the pastor took pity on it and courageously pulled the baby out, only for it to turn out to be human-like.

“The `baby’ had all the features of a human being such as human face, head, hair, female genitals, two legs and two arms with hoofs.
“However, the human-like baby died at about noon as a result of lack of care as the crowd merely trooped there to watch rather than to attempt to save its life,’’ Ogunmeji said.

Okay, i have heard of weird cake and how crazy people can get with creating ideas for cake, but this one, it sure takes the lead.

The couple, David and Natalie Sideserf, American celebrities thought of how best to express their love and how they will stick together forever until death do them part and thought of baking that cake at their wedding.

Natalie, who owns Austin bakery Sideserf Cake Studio, crafted the cakes herself. 

In a Facebook post, she acknowledges the cake design was “very nontraditional” but explains, “Halloween [was] coming, my husband loves horror movies … and I like sculpting humans.”

“It was perfect for us,” she said.

She admitted that it was shocking for most of their guests and had serious glare from her mother beofer she finally grasped the idea and gave her approval of the cake.

Oh Pity! 14 Year Old Teenager Takes Own Life Over Bullying at School

It's so painful when one hears of the loss of life of young promising teenagers or anyone over things they felt they could not handle.
The beautiful young teenage girl above, Izzy Dix committing suicide when she felt she could no longer face the bullying meted out on her daily at school.

She was told she wasn't beautiful, wanted and all sort of things. While i will never support suicide as a way out of any situation, i however, think it's time we gave this bullying thing some attention.
I know you might say that it's not in our character to easily commit suicide in Nigeria, well, yes, i agree, but we are joining hands together to speak against it.

It is wrong to bully people no matter how lightly the bully take it.
This bullying thing happens everywhere in the world and my hope is that the sensitsation will be taken to the schools to help save another life before it's too late.

I don't really know what to say. If i say that the act is wicked it will sound like i have become repetitive by using the word every time there is unjustified loss of human life.
All I can say is that it is only God that will judge us all.

Up until now, no one could say if the baby was already dead or died when s/he was abandoned in the drain.
