Handwash, Medicated Soap Can Cause Cancer, Liver Problems - Study

Handwash, Medicated Soap Can Cause Cancer, Liver Problems - Study chiomaandy.com
Well, well, well. This might sound as bad news for all recent producers of handwash and hand sanitisers as what you are about to read may baffle you.
We all know that with the scare of the dreaded Ebola Virus Disease (EVD)'s arrival into the country, all manner of hand sanitisers flooded the Nigerian market. First, thank God we are done with that nightmare and it is not coming back in Jesus name, amen.

While many people have imbibed the habit of proper hygiene with emphasis on hand washing and sanitizing, many are yet to let go of their hand sanitisers.
The unfortunate thing here is that while it is good to use hand sanitisers, one does not know which make is the real one, and many of them in the market are of low quality with the poorest of ingredients that poses as a threat to the user.
I found an interesting article from the Tribune newspaper and decided to bring it to your notice, read it after the cut…

Photo: hercampus.com
If you are reading this then there is a chance that you are interested in the 'sex' topic. My take is that it is probably the most talked about issue in real life and on the internet.
People always want to know how they can spice up their sex life, increase the frequency or just want to satisfy their curiosity.

Whatever be the reason, i must say first and foremost that this article is not intended for SINGLES! It is therefore strictly for 'MARRIED FOLKS'.

If you are single and are sure that you are only reading for acquisition of knowledge and not for practical, then you are permitted to read on (laughs).
In the article, study carried out stated why it is important to have sex in the morning as it is a great way to start off the day. The article was published by Tribune and i thought of sharing with my readers. See it after the break...

I Got 3 Plots of Land Free in the Heart of Abuja for Being Nice to an Old Lady- Mike Ezuruonye chiomaandy.com

When i read about the tale of how Nollywood star actor, Mike Ezuruonye got 3 plots of land in Abuja for free without as much as breaking a sweat, I had a rethink about being courteous. We are talking about properties worth close to N100 million or more for the three plots.
Well, I am not a snobbish person but i most of the time like minding by business especially when my help is not needed. But to be honest, I am now willing to help out even when I am refused.
That was  the case with Mike who through his insistence to help out an advanced lady with her luggage got an experience that he will live with for the rest of his life. read it after the break...

Wait, Does President Jonathan Have the Right to Monitor Internet Communications by Nigerians? Act Now or Forever be Silent

It sounds so awkward to me being that the freedom of Information Act was passed not so long, and now President Goodluck Jonathan is paying $40 million to an Israeli company to spy on you and I while conversing on the internet.

Can you imagine that as you are on facebook chatting with friends and perhaps discussing the political situation in our country, or sending emails, that the President can actually see that conversation too?
What do we make out of this? You will be reading the report from Premuim times soon and after that what? Are we going to fold our hands and watch as he invades our privacy as per communication and do nothing?
I know that most Nigerians are used to folding their hands and letting things go wrong without raising a finger of objection.

Yes I know, you might be saying to yourself that no matter what you do, it’s not going to change anything, but have you tried to be sure that it will not work?
We are in the era of social networks and many countries have used it to alter their fate especially in changing their political situation. Why can’t you and I try?

You can start bringing the change by passing this information on to your friends and let’s see how many people can become conscious of this act and by the time we bombard him with questions and objections on his facebook account, he will know that we are not willing to go down without a fight.
Do you know how many people read this blog on daily basis? Well I am not about to divulge that yet, but I have to tell you that I have over a thousand reading my blog daily even with my blog being a little over 2 months old.

So I am asking you to be that change, let us use these means of communication to change the things that are going wrong in our society.
My hope is that after reading the post below, you will act now or forever remain silent.

Find Out Why Peter Rufai, Former Super Eagles Goalkeeper May Go To Jail

Peter Rufai may go to jail chiomaandy.com
Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Peter Rufai, who was known for the victory he got for the nation in the 1994 African Cup of Nations, and kept goal for European clubs such as K.S.C Lokeren, K.S.K Beveren (both of Belgium) and Deportivo de La Coruna of Spain, has been alleged to have diverted the sum of 200, 000 euro that was entrusted in his care by his fellow Nigerians in Belgium.

There is an indication that the Belgian government has an arrangement in place for ethnic groups and that of nationals of other countries that reside in Belgium whereby financial supports are given to them every quarter. At times, it is 5000 euro in a quarter, and at other times it is well above it.

The Source divulged that last year, the Nigerian Community Football Club, an outfit managed by the ex-international and in division 4 of the Belgian League, received 200,000 euro (about N44 million) from the Belgian authority to prosecute the club’s programmes with other countries like Ghana, Sierra Leon also beneficiaries.

Woman whose Daughter was Killed by a Policeman insists she should be Buried before her Daughter

This is one of those stories you hear of and you can’t help but feel sad and maybe even shed some tears.

72 years old Madam Rachael Esan Olajiga has taken the death of her daughter at the cold hands of a careless Police man as one that she would not be able to survive.

She has refused to be consoled because her pregnant daughter, Mrs Oluwaseun Sunday, who had lost her husband too was shot by a Policeman while she was in a vehicle conveying her to the market.
The old madam Rachael waited patiently for her return from the market not knowing that she would not set her eyes ever again on her beloved daughter.

She is insisting that she be buried first as it is an abomination for her to witness the burial of her daughter.

What You Should Know About Eating Noodles

Yahoo Health Image of Noodles
Children and adults love eating noodles a lot because it is easy and quick to cook; it belongs to the family of fast foods.
But have you asked yourself how safe they really are?

I myself love eating Noodles a lot but after reading an article about the dangers inherent in noodles on Yahoo Health, I had to start killing the excess love I had for it.

If you take a look at the back of your favourite noodles, you will see words like- Sodium Phosphate, Calcium Phosphate and Phosphoric Acid. These ‘phosphates’ have been discovered to promote kidney stones (kidney stones could sometimes lead to cancer) and weak bones and joints.

You probably love it like I do but, it’s time to ask ourselves what it does to our bodies overtime. And I can hear some of you saying (please let me enjoy my life while I am alive, after all, something will kill someone one day).

I know that we will all meet with our creator someday, but it does not hurt if we also help ourselves and stay as healthy as we can, instead of eating carelessly as can be easily found among children and adults.
A word they say is enough for the wise,

Outrage in Omuma as Lawmakers Kicks Against Pro-Amaechi Motion

Speaker RVHA
by  Dan Metong-Joseph

The critical position of Hon. Kelechi Nwogu on the decision of the Rivers State House of Assembly to honour Governor Rotimi Chibike Amaechi has pitched the lawmaker against the people of his local government area.

Hon. Nwogu who is the law maker representing Omuma Constituency at the State Assembly, last Thursday opposed the House’ decision to pass a vote of confidence on the state governor, Rotimi Amaechi, for the tremendous developmental strides of the governor in the state as perceived by some of his colleagues in the House.

The confidence vote was a deliberate action by the House to defend Amaechi by way of countering the move by governor’s political foes to discredit him in the face of the scramble in 2015.
To this end, the people of Omuma at the weekend, declared the action of their legislator, Kelechi, who refused to join other members of the House to support the confidence vote and move to honour Amaechi for his achievements as governor of the state as self serving had expressed shock at the action.
A press statement signed by the chairman of Omuma local government council, Hon. John Nnamdi Anucha, member of the State Executive Council and  Commissioner for Special Duties, Barr. Dickson Umunakwe and two others representing the People Democratic Party, said Hon. Kelechi acted unilaterally and did not speak the minds of the people of the area. Rivers Assembly Splits into Two Camps...As Amaechi, Wike's Men Clash Over Vote of Confidence on Amaechi

Speaker RSHA
By Chinedu Uchegbu
The Rivers State House of Assembly has now been splintered into two main contending camps. This is coming after four months of speculation on when ans how the simmering rift in the Assembly will burst into the open.
The catalyst for the 'first public outing' of the lingering division in the House was the confidence vote passed on the state governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi last week Thursday.

The lingering face-off between Amaechi and his erstwhile confidant and minister of State for Education, Chief Nyesome Wike, took centre stage at the State House of Assembly, as supporters of both parties squared up against each other, using the confidence vote to test each camp's resolve and strength. Amaechi and Wike had been involved in a long battle of political supremacy in the state. Cick on read more to continue...
