Former deputy speaker of the House Of Representative and a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State, Chibudum Nwuche has resigned his membership of the PDP.

In a letter signed by Nwuche and addressed to the National Chairman of PDP, Adamu Muazu, Nwuche said he had watched with dismay the PDP descending to cabalism and god- fatherism.
He said certain individuals of the party had taken over the political structure of the party.
Nwuche also said that many people with capacity and integrity had no opportunity to serve and were shut out of governance by few persons in the party.

He also lamented that as a consequence of the insincerity and corruption on the part of the party leadership, the primary process of the PDP in Rivers State lacked internal democracy.
Chibudum Nwuche, however, did not mention moving to the All Progressives Party (APC) or any other political party.
