Rivers APC Denies N300 Million Bribe by Gov Amaechi

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has denied the allegation by the state governor-elect, Nyesom Wike, that Governor Chibuike Amaechi paid some lawyers the sum of N300 million to stop the inauguration of Wike as governor.

APC publicity secretary, Rivers State, Chris Fynebone said the governor nor the party never went to court but were only joined as respondents.

He said: “First and foremost APC did not go to court.APC was only joined as respondent in that matter. It is preposterous, it is impossible and laughable to even imagine that Governor Amaechi in his frugal way would go and pay money for frivolous things as suggested. It is false.”
